NASCAR Kart Racing
NASCAR Kart Racing

NASCAR Kart Racing is a kart racing title with a cartoonish and Mario style interface from Electronic Arts. The title brings in the thrill of NASCAR racing by letting the gamers take control of original NASCAR drivers in an animated yet fully loaded form with all their player traits. The game play is made a lot enjoyable and thrilling, as there is a huge collection of players and diverse racetracks to choose from. The cartoon style depiction of the game is immensely enjoyable and the track obstacles and power ups available while in a race blend perfectly with the larger than life race driver characters.

The Game

The title is based on true American NASCAR racing with a cartoon makeover. The cars are cartoon karts, which are similar to the one’s from the Mario Kart title and the tracks are full of challenging obstacles, power ups and shortcuts and this makes this racer game more targeted towards younger gamers. The game will have 24 racetracks which snakes around a wide array of terrains like deserts, freeways, junkyards, canyons and even actual NASCAR courses. There are four tracks modeled on original NASCAR tracks and this gives you a chance to zip your cart across such legendary tracks like Dover International Speedway and Daytona International Speedway.

The game play is fun as it offers exhilarating power ups and you can even smash up with your opponent all in a funny kind of way. But for serious racing game fans this can be a disappointing experience. And the far too much resemblance with the Mario Kart title in every department of the game too can be a sore-eye. But the game play is cool and the responses are pretty slick with almost all input devices. The title also features a four-player split screen multiplayer mode, which can add a lot of fun to those times when you have a lot of buddies around.

Thought of the Day

To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.
