It was announced by Team Criterion on their blog that the XBOX 360 update for Burnout Paradise ‘Codename: Cagney’ has been delayed by 4 days and will be released only on 14^th July 2008. The PS3 update is on track and will be released on 10^th July 2008. Burnout Paradise – or Burnout 5 – is the latest edition in the Burnout Franchise from Criterion Games and was released on 22 January 2008. This title was released on PS3 and XBOX 360 platforms and lets the gamers to enjoy high action Racing set in an open-environmental virtual world named Paradise City.

The Cagney Update will introduce three new FreeBurn multiplayer modes named Online Stunt Run, Marked Man and Road Rage into the Burnout Paradise game play. Online Stunt Run will involve up to 8 players simultaneously competing for the highest stunt score within 2 minutes. Road Rage will feature two teams: One must race to a checkpoint and then the finish line, while the other tries to stop them. Marked Man will be like a game of tag, with the marked man having no boost, their car will be slower and he/she won't be able to see the other players. One player will act as the Marked Man. He will get points for survival and the other players will get points for taking him down. This expansion pack also introduces custom soundtracks and 1080i support to the Playstation 3 platform for this title.
